Foodbank runners in Dartford Half Marathon

Six supporters of Gravesham Foodbank completed the Dartford Half Marathon on Sunday 12 March, raising over £600 for the charity which supports local people in crisis.

The sponsored runners were David Kettle, Andy Wood, Lewis McIntyre, Pete McIntyre, Dave Forder and Simon Mummery.

Three of the team work for the Gravesend branch of Morrisons, a store which also has a collection point providing important weekly supplies of food and essential toiletries.

The main Foodbank base at the Riverside Centre, Dickens Road, is open four mornings a week and there are also centres at Gravesend Methodist Church and St Paul’s URC Church, Singlewell Road. They help around 3,000 adults and children every year.
